Bio

Grahame Lynch is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work is heavily influenced by vision impairment. Through images and installations, he urges viewers to interact in ways that test their own spatial and visual senses as well as their emotional attachments to sight. He has participated in group exhibitions and community arts initiatives that connect visual arts and disabilities; and has had solo exhibitions across Canada including the Thames Art Gallery, Esplanade Art Centre and the Station Gallery, and in the United States at the Oresman Gallery. He has been an artist in residence with Relais de Camont and Atelier AiR in France and Ireland, and the Hammer & Sky program in Nova Scotia. Grahame has a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Guelph and is an Associate Professor at Toronto Metropolitan University where he teaches in the areas of Communication Design and Interdisciplinary Image-making.
