Grahame Lynch is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work is heavily influenced by vision impairment. Collage and technological glitches have been utilised in his most recent bodies of work as techniques of departure from photographic traditions that have a single frame of reference. The resulting visuals frequently have an altered perception of time, optical distortions, and a compressed sense of space. He has participated in group exhibitions and community arts initiatives that connect visual arts and disabilities; and has had solo exhibitions across Canada including the Thames Art Gallery, Esplanade Art Centre and the Station Gallery, and in the United States at the Oresman Gallery. He has been an artist in residence with Atelier AiR in France and the Hammer & Sky program in Nova Scotia. Grahame has a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Guelph and is an Associate Professor at Toronto Metropolitan University where he teaches in the areas of Communication Design and Interdisciplinary Image-making.
